Embedded XSLT Stylesheets supported in IE?

I saw a similar question in one of the other forums, but it lacked a
definitive answer. We need one as this affects the architecture of one
aspect of our system.

Does IE support embedded stylesheets in XML documents, per the example in
the XSLT 1.0 Recommendation (section 2.7)? That example probably won't work
without a DTD, but if needed I can post a different example that is complete.
It works fine in at least one other browser. In IE the only things that are
displayed are the HTML elements (properly rendered) from the stylesheet
templates, then an unformatted string at the bottom of the page with all of
the text nodes from the XML document.
