By the way if you will note the date/time stamp on my original
email --- it only took 7 days to get a response. So you might understand
why I was asking if their was any support in this newsgroup.


Also please note that 'benst' has been waiting since the 3rd of Feb
which so far is 18 days for a reply.

Remember that newsgroups are for anyone to contribute to as they are able
and willing. I can understand your frustration, but there is no obligation
on anyone to respond at all. It is only out of the goodness of people's
hearts that you get any response.

Don't you think that I might have tried to Google 'Wininet and FTP'
or 'Wininet and FTPS' or any of the thousands of combinations in order to
find the answer.

I have and I am really at my wits end, I even contacted Arron
Skonnard who wrote 'Essential WinInet' back in 1998 and he has no idea.

So if you know the answer or know someone who does --- would you
please have them respond ASAP to this message.


And tell me what I have to do to get it to work.

Yes, but only from visitors and (as you've spotted) this newsgroup isn't
very active these days (shame). Although it can happen, generally don't
expect "support" from Microsoft via a newsgroup, as most replies are from
other users such as yourself.
